Enable Capture to File

Menu Location: Monitor - Enable Capture to File

When in Monitor Mode or Web Monitor Mode, causes the program to start recording captured video to a file - only video frames (pictures) of anything that moved. Does not record video of a stationary environment i.e. if nothing moves no video is stored. If something moves video is stored.

You must click Monitor, Monitor Start, to be in Monitor Mode, then click Enable Capture to File, for video to start being recorded to a file. No Monitor Mode, no Enable Capture to File checked, no recording of video to file.

Or click Web Mode, then click  Enable Capture to File, in order to record captured video to a file.

This menu item is check enabled, i.e. a toggle menu item. Clicking on it causes a check mark to appear. A check mark means capture to file enabled, no check mark no capture enabled.

The state of this checked item is saved upon Save Configuration, and remains the same at program start up.

( Also make sure menu item, Monitor, Activate Enabled Alarms and Capture, has already been selected i.e. status bar shows ARMED.)

Note: make sure the c:\monitor\capture directory does not have any files with dates ahead of the current date else files will not be saved.

Also see how to review captured video files.
