Activate Enable Alarms and CaptureMenu Location: Monitor - Activate Enable Alarms and Capture This allows you time to leave the site before any set alarms are activated or capture starts. Or remotely activate/deactivate the alarms before you enter or leave the site with a wireless mobile device. You can set the amount of time required before the alarms and capture are activate ( menu item Settings, Alarms, Alarm Activation). For example, enable alarms and capture, click Activate, do Monitor Start - then alarms will be activated after a the set period of time. The status bar will show Arming, then Armed. You enable alarms elsewhere in program e.g. menu item Settings, Alarms, Define Alarm Condition and Enable Email Alarm, then you activate them here with this menu item. When activated status bar shows ARMED. Menu Location: Monitor - Deactivate Enable Alarms and Capture Deactivates any enabled alarms and capture. When deactivated, status bar shows DISARMED.
Attention: If you save the program configuration ( menu item Save Configuration) then the next time the program starts it will run in the last saved configuration state e.g. activated or deactivated. To be safe, always leave this menu item activated in case you forget to activate the alarms. Behavior of Activated Enable Alarms and Capture Function
This feature can be used in conjunction with load Configuration by Timer to turn off or on, the activation, or enable the alarms at a some specific time. Be careful not accidentally deactivate your system since you forgot set the appropriate value in the video.cfg file, and then you loaded the configuration by timer at some later time. Notes: You can activate or deactivate the alarms and capture through the remote control Admin Web Page.
