Enable Beep on DetectionMenu Location: Monitor - Enable Beep on Detection Menu Location: Settings - Alarms - Enable Sound Alarms - Enable Beep on Detected If this item is enable it will issue a beep through computers internal speaker when motion is detected. Or use the default sound e.g. a gong sound , through the speakers if the sound card is active on your system. This not the same as Enable Play Sound on Alarm Condition. As seen above it is the same parameter but enable from two different places - the first by clicking on menu item to get a check mark, and the second by a check box. Beep on Detection is more real-time on detection and is good for calibrating motion detection parameters. Set sound on when testing the program in Monitor Mode. Walk around the room/site and listen if program has detected your presence. This will give you an idea whether you have set the detection sensitivity correctly. Example, go to menu item Monitor, Monitor Start to enter Monitor Mode. Next enable Beep on Detection, then walk around in front of the camera. The program will emit sounds when it detects you. Also go to menu Settings, Program Parameters, and adjust the Threshold and Sensitivity parameters, then walk in front of the camera observing the correlation between the sound and the adjustment in Threshold and Sensitivity parameters. This will give you an a method of calibrating motion detection. |
