Get Live Video Feed Manual MethodThere are several ways to get a live video feed from a web page, the following is the manual method. This is a 3 step process. First put Video Monitoring Software into Web Live Mode, second get the video port, third connect with Media Player using a correct URL. The manual method is useful to get around any network IP resolution problems which may cause the automatic method problems. This assumes you have already logged on with your web browser, and have navigated to web page Video Monitoring Software: Program Administration Page. From the "Video Monitoring Software: Program Administration Page" web page, click on, "Put Program in Live Mode with configuration file number" equals 1. Result: From from the OK message web page i.e. reads "Video Monitoring Software Program Reporting: Started Live Mode OK", at the top of your browser click "Back" to go back to the "Video Monitoring Software: Program Administration Page" web page. On the "Video Monitoring Software: Program Administration Page" web page, click "Get Video Port URL to connect with Media Player ". Result: Now open Media Player. From the task bar menu select, Start, Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Windows Media Player. From the Media Player menus select, File, Open, and enter a URL of the following form, http://MyComputerName:VideoPortNumber, or http://ComputerIPAddress:1048 where ComputerIPAddress is the IP address of the computer that Video Monitoring Software is running on, on the internet. Note, how the video port number is added to the URL of your computer address on a net. Click, OK. Result: (If this does not work. It is probably because one has not checked if Windows Media Encoder asd file is correct for their video driver and set the Video Port parameter to correctly configure the Video Monitoring Software program upon initial installation. Also check the option settings on Media Player itself e.g. enable to access internet.) Using Media Player menus select Play, Stop, to stop the live video. Select, File, Exit, to close Media Player. It is a good idea to put Video Monitoring Software back into Monitoring Mode, so the program can go back to detecting motion at the site. Note: Video Monitoring Software will be left in the state you leave it (unless Live TimeOut is set). Also it is a good idea to log off after that to prevent other users from accessing Video Monitoring Software. By default Video Monitoring Software will log you off after 5 minutes. To do this: Go to "Video Monitoring Software: Program Administration Page" web page, and click "Put Program into Web Monitoring Mode". You should get another web page confirming the success of this action. From the Video Monitoring Software: Program Administration Page web page, and click "Get Video Monitoring Software Program Status". Result: Go back to Video Monitoring Software: Program Administration Page web page, and click "Log Off". You should get another web page confirming your are indeed logged off, preventing anyone else from accessing the program.
