Status Bar

The status bar at the bottom of the Monitoring Control Window and has 6 panes. Described from left to right their functions are:

Pane 1 

is the Video Surveillance WebCam Software state. Ready, or Processing... When you see the program is Processing... leave the program alone and let it complete its task, do not press other buttons until it is finished to insure smooth operation.

Pane 2

is messages from the Video Surveillance WebCam Software. Like file saved, what task was completed, and error messages displayed.

Pane 3

shows what mode the program is in Stopped, Monitoring, Recording, Streaming.

Pane 4

Shows whether the alarms are Armed or Disarmed. For alarms to be active, the system must be Armed.

Pane 5

Shows how many frames of video have been saved to files. The first set of numbers are Video Frames Saved, and the second set of numbers is Audio Buffers Saved. Example: Saved=40:10 means 40 video frames have been saved to file so far. And 10 audio buffers have been saved to the audio file so far. Video Frames Saved is the total number of video frames saved across all the files together from all the cameras. Audio Buffers saved is the total number of audio buffers saved to the one audio file. Audio Buffer is about 1 second of audio data.

Pane 6

Shows total number of program errors that have occurred so far since the program started to run. It should be 0. If there are errors try to fix them. The errors can be viewed by clicking on Program Log to see full description of the error - look in the Program Log for lines that start with ERR:
