Record

Menu Location: Run

Starts recording video to file. Everything is recorded, no motion detection is used.  No alarms are used. Its just a plain video recorder. Good if  the motion detection environment is not suitable for Monitor motion detection, then use Record as an alternative. This is called Record Mode.

Using Record button is the easiest way to do video monitoring. Then just use the Record More, and Switch Faster slider bars, along with Video Color or Video Source buttons to change the picture brightness and contrast. 

Use Record

• you do not have the time to tweak the motion detection settings, but rather need do video monitoring and recording right away. 
• if you get too much false motion detection while using Monitor.
• if the monitoring environment is very busy and a lot is happening on all the cameras at the same time.
• if you have a lot of disk space on your hard drive.
