Configure Email Alarm

Before you do this make sure:

  1. Outlook Express or Windows Mail is installed on your computer and it has a working email account already setup on it.
  2. you are connected to the internet.
  3. Email Alarm Settings have been filled out.
  4. do Test Email Alarm to see email works.

Set an email alarm as follows:

  1. Set Alarm Polling Time = 20 seconds under menu item Alarm Settings.
  2. click on number pad for a an installed camera
  3. in Configure Camera dialog put check mark beside Enable Camera
  4. check mark beside Use Email Alarm
  5. set Frames for Alarm = 10
  6. click OK
  7. click Monitor

Result wave hand in front of  this camera, after 20 seconds, you should see Outlook Express message box indicating that an email is being sent.

Under Camera Configuration for this camera you can put a check mark beside, Use No Motion Detection. Now do not put any motion in front of this camera while Monitoring - result after 20 seconds you should see an email being sent since there was no motion detected on this camera.
