Test Live Video Streaming

Before we do live video streaming lets check that the streaming is configured correctly for your video capture device.

  1. In the Video Surveillance WebCam Software, click menu item or button Stream.
  2. You should see Windows Media Encoder window popup and see it actually streaming live video. Sometimes indicated by message "Encoder Broadcasting", or "Encoding", or you see a video window in Windows Media Encoder, or a green camera button. Also there should also be no error messages.
  3. If Windows Media Encoder streamed lived video OK without error messages, then click on menu item Stop. The default streaming configuration file is OK. All is fine and we are finished. 
  4. If you got an error message, or Windows Media Encoder failed to stream live video then we need to configure live video streaming as per below.

Configure Live Video Streaming

In the Video Surveillance WebCam Software click on menu item, Settings, Live Video Streaming, Configure Live  Streaming. The Video Surveillance WebCam Software will close, and the Configure Live Streaming program will popup.

If title of  configuration program is Configure Live Streaming 9 do the following:

If title of  configuration program is Configure Live Streaming 4 do the following:

 

After  Finished Configuring Live Video Streaming

Test the Live Video Streaming again to make sure, go to Step 1 above, and try again.

Note:

The above assumes you are modifying and using Streaming Configuration File = 1.

When you click menu item Stream, the Default Streaming Configuration File, is streamed. So if you modified config file 2, and want to test it set Default Streaming Configuration File = 2, then click Stream.
