In any error case check and configure your network. Other Ways to Check Your IP Address
Your computer's ip address may not necessarily be your ip address as seen from the internet ie WAN Address, if your are using a router or modem-router. A common misunderstanding. Read your router or modem-router manual or call your ISP. One usually needs to log into a router to find what the WAN address is. If using a router or modem-router they have two ip addresses. An internal one called a LAN Address, and an external one called the WAN Address. The WAN Address is the ip address you need to connect from the internet. The LAN Address is you computer's ip address which is only valid internal to your network, and it cannot be used remotely from the internet to connect to your computer.
